What is an early intention vs. an RSVP, and are there any deadlines?

Think of your early intention as a very unofficial heads-up. It helps us get an early sense of numbers while we’re planning, but it’s not your final RSVP and there’s currently no deadline. We’d just love you to fill it out when you can so we know roughly who to expect. Your official RSVP will come later, when we promise to be much more demanding.

Can I bring a plus one to the wedding?

Your invitation has the answer. If a plus one is included, bring someone fabulous. Our reception space has a rather firm capacity, so we’ve had to be a little disciplined with numbers, but we promise not to seat you with anyone dreadful. If we’ve somehow missed someone we really should know about, do let us know!

What's the dress code for the wedding?

Think Monet meets an English garden, with a little Kentucky thrown in. Tuxedos are encouraged, though a dark suit is absolutely fine. For women, think long dresses, silks, chiffon, sequins, embellishment, elevated florals and summer color.There won’t be fashion police at the farm with a magnifying glass checking whether your dress touches the floor, so wear something you feel great in. We just ask that you leave the shorts and sandals at home, and perhaps save the short cotton dress for brunch.One practical note: we are on a farm. If you’re contemplating stilettos, block heels are your friend. The reception tent will have flooring, though, so if you’re really committed to the heel, save it for the reception.Still wondering what on earth to wear? We’ve made a mood board for inspiration.

Is there an open bar?

This is a Max wedding. Do not underestimate him. There are currently five specialty cocktails on the menu, from his famous Max Margarita to a Torrisi Spritz, and that’s before we get to the actual bar. There’ll be white, rosé and red wine flowing too. And, obviously, champagne.

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Absolutely. Kids are very welcome. They’re encouraged to make tents under the tables, have a dance on the dance floor, and even sneak a little icing off the wedding cake, provided they don’t compromise the structural integrity of the cake.

Will transportation be provided to the wedding venue?

Accepted Answer

We’ve got you covered. Shuttles will run from our recommended hotels to the farm and, more importantly, back again at the end of the night. Full timings and pick-up points will be shared closer to the wedding, so all you need to worry about is getting on the right bus.

Will parking be available at the wedding venue?

Yes! There will be plenty of parking at the farm if you’d prefer to drive. We’ll also have shuttles running from our recommended hotels for anyone who would rather leave the car behind and properly enjoy the bar.

If the Renaissance isn’t quite your cup of tea and you’re coming with a bigger group, we’d recommend checking out Airbnb. There are some great houses closer to Walton, Kentucky, which also puts you nearer to the farm and the festivities.

Will vegetarian or special dietary meals be available at the wedding?

Absolutely. We’ll have a vegetarian option, and when the official RSVP rolls around, you’ll be able to choose your meal and let us know about any allergies or dietary requirements. We’ll make sure everyone is well fed.
